Trump Goes on Crazed, Violent Rant Calling for Death of His Enemies Hafiz Rashid Wed, August 28, 2024 at 12:29 PM PDT·2 min read 602 On Wednesday morning, Donald Trump had some kind of meltdown on his Truth Social profile, all before 10 a.m. His many posts and “ReTruths” were conspiracy laden, crude, and calling for the death or imprisonment of his enemies. One showed Harris, Bill Gates, Anthony Fauci, and other Democrats wearing orange jumpsuits captioned with: “HOW TO ACTUALLY ‘FIX THE SYSTEM.’” Multiple posts had QAnon themes, particularly the slogan “WWG1WGA.” Other posts called for a military tribunal for former President Barack Obama, and attacked the FBI, the Justice Department, and the House January 6 committee.

Father Frank, this is a good argument in swing states, but it is an emotional one that does not take into account the electoral system that our Constitution sets up. If you live in a state like I do, California, a vote for Trump will not advance anything. It won't help him and it won't hurt Kamala. Why? Because, sad to say, she is going to get the 54 electoral votes, no matter what we as individuals do. That reality was set up by the Democrats, allowing for an illegal alien invasion that has altered the landscape of this once great state and turned it into a socialist-run nightmare. All a concerned, Christian voter will be left with at the end of the night, here in California, no matter who wins, is the fact that they will have voted (if they vote for Trump) for a man who believes that we must allow to be killed 670,000 innocent people in order to win elections. That's because he believes in keeping the abortion death pill legal, and it has become the form of abortion for 2/3 of all cases. Moreover, Trump openly supports IVF, enthusiastically, even more than he supports the death pill, and he supports legal abortion up to about 15 or 16 weeks. So, what is left? We have Kamala's support for 1,000,000 abortions versus Trump's support for, what, 950,000? Yes, that leaves 50,000 lives, and somebody on here would come and say, yes, that is why I will vote for Trump, to save those 50,000. And they may have a point, but again, in a state like California, IT ISN'T GOING TO MATTER. Your vote won't count here to save those 50,000, and all you will be doing at the end of the night is voting for someone who believes in keeping most abortions legal. "But if we don't vote for Trump, if we just leave that space blank, that will be helping Harris!" No, it WON'T! That's an emotional argument and not a realistic one. A person who says that is acting on emotion, acting as if the offices of president and vice-president are won by direct popular election. They aren't. Appointed electors do the voting for that. It won't help Harris ONE IOTA to leave the space blank. For those who live in states like California, again, all you will be left with in the end is knowingly voting, many for the first time in your lives, for a candidate who openly supports keeping most abortions legal. If you want to do that, then go ahead. BUT IT WILL NOT MATTER. It will not change the outcome of the election. It will give Trump one extra vote in the popular vote. Fine. If you think that is important for some historical reason, then go ahead. But only in swing states does it matter. Only in swing states does this argument apply. If you live in a swing state, you can go to God when you die and say, hey, I voted to switch the track. If you live in a state like California, you will go to God and you'll have to say, "The switch lever was broken. I saw the lever lying on the ground. I took it and made a motion with it where it once was to try to do something, but it didn't do anything." Does that make any sense? Does that sound defeatist? It's not meant to be. It's being realistic. So what do we do? Simple. We pray. We pray and pray and pray, because our prayers will be more powerful than our votes. A lot more can be accomplished for Trump, for America in the next couple months by prayer than by voting. Voting is shifting that train to another track where it hits something else? Prayer can slow down that train altogether, maybe even stop it, no matter what track it is on. I've seen prayer do some pretty incredible things in my life, things beyond what we expect. I've even seen it affect an election before, though not this late in the cycle. Now, I risk getting flak here, because there's a bunch of people below who have given emotional responses that are not based on our constitutional system governing presidential elections. I know some of you might understand that we don't directly elect the president and vice-president, but many of you emotionally act as if we do. And that's what is hard, humbly speaking, for me to understand. I don't get that. It's not based on any reason or logic. If you live in New York, Hawaii, California, Oregon...you are just going to be left with at the end of the night voting for a candidate who wants to keep the killing of hundreds of thousands of children legal, and your vote won't have meant a thing. That, through all the election propaganda and muck and garbage, is the reality. For those of you in Virginia, Pennsylvania, and other swing states, the pathway is different. There, you have to vote for Trump, because your lever still works. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't be praying as well.

I think you have sort through and see what the oersons have done historically for our Catholic values. You have to admit overturning Roe vs Wade and the Dobbs decision were more to our Catholic values. We must love everyone, gender dysphoria is real. But Supporting some of these crazy ideologies is not Catholic.

Agreed. I meet people all the time with work and such. As conversations go, I express the need to vote as a measure to save this Republic. Which candidate is more aligned with our Founders wishes, constitutional directives, common sensibilities, Oath of Office, experience, performance and Virtue. The #1 problem in America today is Abject Evil. Let's not produce more.

Nope, complicity to evil is still evil. How will we answer to God on judgement day? That's how we need to think before we vote. When option A is Jezebel and option B is Baal, I don't think God will be too pleased when we chose option B because he was "less evil".
